S/4HANA Transition efficiently and rapidly implemented
Our successful medium-sized enterprise approach for Berthold Technologies.
Berthold Technologies is a global technology leader in the fields of life sciences, process control, and radiation protection. For over 70 years, scientists, technicians, and engineers have relied on the innovative measurement solutions from the Black Forest.
To ensure system openness for future developments within the company, Berthold implemented the transition from SAP ECC to SAP S/4HANA in 2022. Berthold is committed to quality and maintains an exceptionally good process and quality management system. This was one of the key reasons for opting for a brownfield transition.
The choice of service providers quickly fell on it-motive AG, whose pragmatic approach for medium-sized enterprises was convincing.
In this approach, the SAP ECC system is iteratively transitioned into a productive SAP S/4HANA environment. This pragmatic methodology, which has been successfully applied multiple times, makes the medium-sized enterprise approach of it-motive AG a very efficient and rapid brownfield transition concept.
At the beginning of the project, the client’s SAP ECC source system is transferred to an S/4HANA sandbox. This allows for a fact-based analysis of the current productive SAP ECC in an S/4HANA environment, where a large portion of all customer processes continues to operate smoothly. The remaining adjustments necessary for a successful transformation are identified and planned at an early stage.
In the second step, the actual brownfield transition, the S/4HANA system is developed into a production-capable S/4HANA system through iterative stages, always using the current movement data.
All Project Goals achieved
The project, realized together with it-motive AG, was successfully implemented within the defined time and budget framework established before the project began.
